cousins might throw for 5000 yards. that blows my mind. he really has taken away my concerns as a fan. he had the bad int, but he did now dwell on it like in past seasons.
if the defense could just get off the field on 3rd and long. it seems like they give up more of those than anyone else.

well, last night surely takes away any interest I will have the next couple of weeks. sure there is still a chance of getting into the playoffs...but i just don't see the packers or bucs having complete meltdowns the rest of the way.

aside from the opener, this was the only game where they showed no fight and were vastly unprepared. it was the perfect storm of miscues and bad timing last night. this sucks guys.

oooh a dual points/championship fantasy victory for the van buren boys

the 6 teams who actually wanted to participate better pay up and mikel too since he made it so far.

and I feel awful for carr and mariota. maybe carr is still named league MVP though.

I really wanted to see a competitive pats & raiders matchup in the playoffs.

just win and in. c'mon skins. do this for me. back to back playoff appearances is going to feel like an undefeated season for me.

got to hope the steelers can travel well and compete. they are the only team heading into the playoffs in the afc that has a shot at beating the patriots. I was going to back the raiders but then the carr injury. I feel genuine sadness for carr and mariotta.

well carr had his surgery today and it went well, according to the doctor he could be ready to play in as little as 6 weeks. the raiders aren't going to the super bowl though, i was fairly certain of that even before carr got hurt. really would have liked carr to get that postseason experience though. still think the raiders could be super bowl champs within the next few years, they just need to keep making adjustments like working on the defense.

just get derek carr fully healed and healthy and ready to kick some ass next year. maybe we will see the full on match up of carr/brady during next season's mexico city game.

i don't see any of the afc teams beating the pats except maybe the steelers, they've given the pats trouble before. some people say to look out for the chiefs, but i don't trust andy reid or alex smith to get it done.

^ you would think so, but bennett is a super talented guy as well. it does limit the 2 tight end sets they could run...but the patriots are winning this year because of defense. the brady for mvp talk needs to end. that team without him would have won 12 games and the division. I would give it to ryan or rodgers.

agree on the steelers, they are the only hope to derail the pats before the super bowl.

c'mon skins.

yeah, they can't give it to brady surely

matt ryan deserves it, or even elliott but they wouldn't give it to a rookie let alone a rookie rb? and I'm biased but what Rodgers has done with no run game is pretty great, but I can understand he isn't really a consideration

the mvp tends to lean towards qbs. elliott has been better than expected, but he gets people who downplay his numbers based on the o-line he runs behind. I think that is a poor argument, but I think it is a 3 horse race. the qbs we mentioned. if it was my call I would go...

ryan
carr
rodgers

yeah that's fair. elliott can have rookie and/or offensive player anyway

can we just give the raiders their L now and get it over with? don't even want to watch their playoff game if they play the way they did against denver, what a sad ending to such a great season.

i mean, even if they beat the texans (which i think they will) there's probably no chance to get to the championship, unfortunately. so i'm not super optimistic about them. just, the texans. they somehow have a worse QB situation than you guys. and they perpetually choke even when they're expected to win
