after a dance party like 20 freakin people went to my friend's lake house with so. much. booze. where people get this stuff I do not know. (sidenote: dr. brown's + cptn morgan = win!) quite a night. I got drunk really quickly. skinny dipping was kinda awkward, only like 3 boys and girls were actually naked and everyone else was just kind of... watching (it was dark but you could still see a little). mad bluntz and tipsy canoe rides ensued. I wrote some poetry when I was drunk that made no sense the next day.

I hope every day in summer is like this.

Even the idea of skinny dipping freaks me out. I think the best summer I had in high school was the one between junior and senior year. Good times. I also just realized today that my summer weekends are filling up quickly. I've gotten better about not planning EVERY single weekend. I'm trying not to, stuff just keeps popping up. Including my bachelorette party - July 12th! I will be taking applications for a male stripper.

Amen to outrageous summers. There have been plenty of shenanigans so far for me as well. Last night i was at a guy's house who i don't even really know for a party and there were like 4 close calls with the cops. I stumbled home at 2 am and managed to knock down the stereo next to my bed, waking up everyone at my house.

And last week i had some people over during the day and one kid had way too much and passed out on my couch until like 8, so i had to tell my mom about it. she drove him home and was cool with it.

Oh, and

chick drink? yes. delicious? yes.

That does sound like a lot of teenage fun.
Did you guys stop at a kosher deli for the Dr. Brown's?
Also, care to share some of that poetry?

kickass nyc visit

-saw les paul play at iridium jazz club (2 shows every monday at age 93; insane). sat literally right next to him. awesome guy. in the middle of the show he calls out joan jett from the audience and has her come up. good times

-saw blue man group off-broadway. small dark little theater proved to be excellent for the show.

-attended the yankees game where giambi hits a home run in the bottom of the 9th, crowd is crazy. (i also said around the 7th inning "maybe we'll see a roy hobbs moment".)

-ate at this amazing restaurant.

-saw a chorus line on broadway. ultimate faggé musical for sure, but i love going to the theater.

-went to the belmont. air-conditioned seats and great weather in spite of the 90 degree+ heat made up for nightmarish train ride.

unfortunately no aoife sitings

I'm thinking about visiting New York City sometime this summer,

except I still haven't figured out how I'm going to avoid the pimps and chuds.

Sounds like a great trip, harlan!

I'd love to do that sort of stuff. But Aoife's is top NYC priority. Someday I'll get around to that stuff.

The Les Paul/Joan Jett cameo show sounded great.
I'm sure seeing Giambi's new walrus moustache live must have been fabulous. I saw it on tv yesterday, and it brought many laughs.

Elena, I love you. You know this. I cannot go to Blue Man Group, or to go see A Chorus Line. We can have Billiam perform it for you...a one man Chorus Line show.

Everything else Harlan mention is dandy, especially anything to do with seeing Joan Jett.

And I love you, Aoife. Which is why I don't mind not seeing that stuff. Someday I'll make like a 10 day trip out there so I can do it all.

just got back to Chelsea from Dublin, spent 3 days there. It started as a bit of a cluster fuck when the hostel we booked turned out to be a terrorist POW camp and had to find somewhere to stay for at least the two other nights. things went well though, hit a few very cool pubs, did some sight-seeing and got to watch the Euros with people who actually care about them. good times, so next weekend: barcelona.

I'll do all manners of touristy things with you. I just have some limits.

Nice, Cmb. I love Dublin, and want to visit some more.
Barcelona sounds exciting.

I've love to see a picture of two of the 13-year-old-looking kids from this board, just to see how much they resemble each other.

Stupid thunderstorm broke the pretty little crab apple tree in my front yard!
I don't know if it was lightening or wind, but it snapped near the bottom, and I'm really bummed!
At least it wasn't the roof, I guess!

Poor little tree!

You guys should plant another one. Have Niamh do most of the work, since she eats so much.
