Default dec. 26th is the worst day of the year

i can't think of any other day that could be worse.

everyone off the high of the christmas season and returning to work/returning presents/returning to their depressing selves

at least new years is right around the corner

Not at all, man. After 2 days of running around from place to place unloading and loading up the car at each place and trying to keep a 6 month-old's eating, pooping, and sleeping on his regular schedule is exhausting. Today is the day to sleep in and play with all the cool stuff I got.

as someone still in high school without a job, it's just another day of Christmas break (and bowl season) to me

I am indifferent towards this day.

I guess I would have more of an opinion if I cared more about christmas

Nah some places still stay closed on the 26th, although more and more places seem to be opening now which means everywhere has to open to compete which is sort of depressing, that people can't wait to get out and start buying shit again.

It doesn't kick in till about 3rd/4th Jan when people return to school or work if a person's boss is so retarded, kind, etc.

On 26th you get round to sorting out whats shit and what's not and start acutally using some of it. And new year is just round the corner.

3rd Jan should be least fave definatly!!

I don't know if people usually have to work on this day but since I never have had to I like it.

plus we call it boxing day. how cool does that sound?

not at all when you look at the origins of it

In the United Kingdom it certainly became a custom of the nineteenth century Victorians for tradesmen to collect their "Christmas boxes" or gifts in return for good and reliable service throughout the year on the day after Christmas

I'm just depressed because I'm still stuck at my parents' house. Otherwise this would be a pretty fun day of messing with my new stuff at home

i dunno, i'll be getting paid to sit and listen to music in a warm warehouse in a couple hours. could be worse.

if anything, i think the monday after thanksgiving is the worst day of the year.

this is a great day... I feel almost 100% (not quite, but I'm feeling much better!)

just ate several cuties (clementines)... okay nearly the entire box, and watched random dvds, blu rays ... just watched ''dead man''

maybe i went a little overboard with "worst day" (later i'm meeting friends to get dinner, talk, and then see that avatar movie)

but still, even though it didn't feel like there was a christmas season this year this day felt odd just like it always does

i actually like it a lot. maybe because i get to relax a bit after being with a very large family at my house during christmas and get to chill at home, use the stuff i got, watch some college football.

and a lot of great leftovers to eat, too.

Christmas is always an emotional hang up for folks who were brought up to have Expectations about the holiday. Simply put, Desire creates misery.
Whenever I hear someone say they "Hate Christmas", Or this was the worst Christmas because..., Someone or something "Ruined" my Christmas .. I ponder that perhaps this holiday holds too much power over you, if it causes you to put words to it and communicate that thought to others.

I enjoy Christmas for its visual an audio effects only... anything extra is the cherry whip topping on an already good thing. .. But no expectations,... chill out

It's a bit sad I guess on the 26th, but to be honest this little span of time between Christmas and New Years Eve has always been one of my favorite times of the year, even when I was younger. It's always felt like a time of limbo, there's nothing left for this year. Just the next one.. Not always because it's a happy time because it certainly isn't, but it's the most reflective. It's hard to explain but I've always found it sort of nice

i tend to hate it as well. here in nz, it's the equivalent of your black friday, everything heavily discounted etc, the malls are manic and packed. people walk far too slowly in malls.

I've always felt more bummed out on January 1st, but yeah, it is a bit of a come down on the 26th.
