Anybody remember how long the draft typically takes? Couple hours?

I remember it going pretty fast last year. Hour and a half or so. Don’t think it was even two hours long.

haha I kept luis severino by accident instead of kris bryant, and just noticed now. apparently I had severino pre-selected as a keeper a month ago instead of bryant.

too late to fix and I was on the fence about keeping severino or not, so I'll own up to my mistake and let bryant go.

What's the NA stash rule again? I can toss Luzardo on the NA list and then grab another player? But if Luzardo is called up, I gotta put him on my active roster and drop a guy to make room, correct?

haha, the best part was his birthday was yesterday.

he was embraced by the town, fans...etc. Rendon has been the best every day player on the team for over 4 years. I have moved past the point of hating on guys for leaving. he does seem like the perfect poster child for the entitled athlete. hopefully this might humble him a bit.

yeah no anger he left, it was a bummer because he does have an awful lot of talent. I expected him to be a lot better at this point.

Philly gave him 13 years/330 million
Washington offer 10 years/300 million

most of the money offered to Harper was deferred so it seemed like a "we're doing this to save face value but we don't really want you" kind of thing. which makes sense because Soto had already established himself and Robles was going to be ready the next year. they didn't need him

anyway just got a flight booked out to DC so... hype

who knows, shit's expensive, I just wanna be there since where I live nobody really cares. like I might just end up in the Bullpen or at Walter's or something. it's all gonna be very spur of the moment for me I think

Yeah I've got no plans outside of baseball so I might take you up on that. although like all of the Nats home games are on the weekend...

DM on here the best way to let you know?

Bullpen is dope, you should go there...no doubt.

We are crunching numbers to see if we can come up if things go our way. worst case I will make a parade...hopefully.

that win really felt kind of like a loss, only in the sense that they are going to likely grind the starters down and get to the bullpen early. my nerves really get going when they come up prior to the 7th, just seen so many bad things happen.

that the problem with being a fan, it is hard to believe what you are seeing. my heart has been broken many times by different teams. this could be that Caps moment for me. that eventual breakthrough that floored me. I never expected baseball back in DC growing up. I never cared for the Orioles. the Braves AAA team was in my hometown. I enjoyed watching them, but never rooted for the Braves, was more a fan of players all over the league growing up.

so while this still feels new and a potential letdown awaits, I am stoked for the team. they really are just a easy group for anyone to root for. you never know the guys really, but it feels like they would be the types to grab a beer with and just have a good time.

i mean the number of stories that have been written about how much all of these guys seem to legitimately love each other - literally all of them - and that you've got people around the team often like fp who say things like "i have never seen a group like this" to that marlins clubhouse attendant who was like "this is one of the best groups i've ever seen" ... that you've got a national audience being exposed to the dance parties and the baby sharking and eaton and howie's driving and none of that is new, they've been doing all of that since june ... strasburg is smiling getting hugged in the dugout! strasburg!!

i mean i probably haven't watched sports as much as you guys but i've still watched a lot of sports and i've never seen a group like this. it's wild.

not to jinx anything because who knows, especially with that bullpen, like we weren't all getting nervous when javy couldn't pitch a clean ninth because i remember a game in april in which an 11-run lead turned into a save situation, but this feels like some team of destiny bullshit

but of course you know they're probably not going to win, because that would be silly.

it is true, it is true, you expect every good thing to turn bad, then the bad thing to turn drastically worse. like going up 3-0 and then losing 4-3 in a series. (lol yankees)

I was speaking for the rest of the national audience seeing what these guys are all about. there is no way you get this far without chemistry, talent and a bit of luck along the way. I just want 2 more wins, any damn way possible.

the bullpen is always a concern, I do trust Doolittle to close everything out. last night though I felt the urgency from the rest of the crew was a little lackluster after it was blown open.

O's...ewwwwwwww. also thanks for the skins burn, it only hurts when I think about how they have fallen. gonna go cry now.

hope you had a good time at the game in spite of the outcome.

on to how this feels...it fucking sucks. no one in attendance looked the least bit surprised at the outcome, being a fan of teams here you just know it is coming. I just have to hold out hope they can find a way to win game 6. I just would hate to see them go out in a thud of 4 straight.

it'll hurt in the moment but this team went from a 19-31 record to, at worst, game 6 in the world series. that's a real fuckin good year.

plus i know it doesn't matter as much since the bats have been the problem but with stras on the mound? if they go down it's with their best and i feel good about that.

(and it was definitely still a good time! it was a world series game! in my favourite team's ballpark! and i was there!! like that's always going to be cool as heck no matter what. if you're only going to sports games in which you're expecting your team to win... don't be a sports fan lol)

best night. not to be the guy, but right before the 3 runs I told my wife I felt oddly confident. it just seemed like this is how every win for them in this series went.

stoked for all the guys. driving up tomorrow night after work for the parade. then immediately driving back. this happened at the worst time for work reasons, but fuck it.

just like with the Caps, this will just be one of those events that I will cherish as a fan.

Given that I haven't wont this thing since 2007, I don't think roto is my thing.

I'll be bowing out this year. If you have an opening in 2021, hit me up... I'm not ruling out a comeback
