So apparently Royal Headache are breaking up, and I have been legit bummed out all night.

I guess a second record is still coming out, but regardless...I really hope this isn't true. I can't think of a record in the past few years that I've listened to more than that debut (debut!) album.

the fact that all four of them have these big goofy grins on their faces for the entire show is like the best thing

did matt canino wear a real short skirt and dangle the whole show? because that seems to happen a lot.

not a skirt, but super short shorts and yeah his huge frame + the way he dangles over his guitar makes it look like he's either a giant playing a regular guitar or an adult playing a little kid's guitar.

probably my favorite moment was during the opening act, which was this fun electronic band, and seeing this tiny person just dancing like a maniac and realizing it was erica freas. she also walked around and talked to people between bands which was really cool.

Oh man, I like this a lot. Reminds me of what the Bed Wettin' Bad Boys are doing.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

between the bong rips and knife hits,
protestant booze,
stick-and-poke tattoos;
we were just over privileged youth seeking something to do.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they've only put out two 7", a split with Dikembe, and 2 demos but they are pretty much all i've been listening to.

That sucks about Cheap Girls but they had a pretty great run. I felt like their last album wasn't that great anyway. I hope the singer gets the help he wants (I read the FB post)

i'm going through my collection of cds from local michigan bands starting around 2003 and found one of my favorites so i figured i would post it here:

it still sticks out to me how dark their songs are for a ska band.
