There are, like, ten Simpsons podcasts that do episode-by-episode reviews.

I like The Simpsons Show the best, it's the only one I listen to weekly, despite it having the most generic name.

Everything's Coming Up Simpsons is OK.

Four Finger Discount have a huge Facebook following (largely for non-podcast-related but still-Simpsons-related content) and even got a book deal out of it.

Then there's Pods in the Key of Springfield, the aforementioned Talking Simpsons and We're Talking Simpsons, plus Worst Episode Ever, The Simpsons Index..

Even listening to just one or two of each to pick a favourite can feel like too much effort, I'm pretty sure I've listened to one or two of each but they blend into one another.

I'm happy with Talking Simpsons

What makes The Simpsons Show better?

It's probably a chicken-and-egg situation - I like it the most because I listen to it the most, I listen to it the most because I like it the most...

That said, I like the rapport between the co-hosts, and the recurring segments after the episode discussion - they challenge each other to trivia questions each episode, they dig out contemporary comments from alt.tv.simpsons, they have a listener question of the week, they rank the episodes as they go along, etc.

If you're happy with Talking Simpsons, I'd probably say to stick with it, it's certainly enjoyable.

Did anyone pick-up Season 18 on DVD? I did and had myself a little commentary marathon with my roommates.

"Looking for Mr. Goodbart" Season 28 Episode 20 WABF13

"Bart spends time with Principal Skinner's mother, Agnes. Meanwhile, Homer and Lisa get addicted to Peekimon Get."

I don't know who created Peekimon Get, but I'm trying to figure out how we get more Peeking at Rock Strongo's polls.

I'm sorry you had to find me this way.
I couldn't go on.
The pain.
The loneliness.
I've realized I've loved all that I can love in this world.
All that's left is despair.
That's why I took the easy way out.
I love all of you.
Please forgive me.

I do love that a scene from 1996 suddenly became the most culturally relevant Simpsons related thing since the movie.

the movie is a series of sketches of wildly varying quality that doesn't hold up together as a coherent whole at all.

Excuse me, some people remember that pretty good "Ever tried going mad without power" bit of Albert Brooks improvisation.

And anyway all I'm saying is, it was talked about at the time.

I can understand how some people feel, but The Simpsons has a long history of lampooning a lot of different cultural stereotypes. Apu has gone from a simple store clerk to be a fleshed-out 3 dimensional character over the coarse of the show. That should count for something.
