it's unbelievable how some teams still don't understand when and how to use the power plays

Today the 'deshis took their Batting PP from overs 46-50, (as did England) - so it's clear what their game plan is. "Written in stone" would be good words to describe these tactics i feel.
Still, at least they had wickets in hand this time and posted a useful 260-6 (Imrul Kayes 63 off 113, Mushrifiqur Rahim 76 off 88, Bresnan 3-51) England 261-8 thanks mainly to Morgan's unbeaten 110 off 104. Good knocks from Cook (yet again out in the 60's) and Prior 42. Bangladesh bowled well tho' Shakib 3-32, Razzak 3-52 and looked good for their first ever win over England, when they had us 229-8 off 46. Shakib shoulda kept his spinners on, cos Morgan took Shafiul to the cleaners and finished off the win with 7 balls to spare. Despite 9 defeats in a row Bangladesh look like they're improving, maybe they'll beat a complacent England in the final match of the series on Friday. Tomorrow i do believe it's the 1st ODI of the Chappell-Hadlee series in Napier.

Morgan looks like a good player.
I wish we were able to see more foreign series here in NZ on tv. Indeed it is, and a fantastic game. Some solid Australian batting, but no one really went on, crucial wicket at opportune times for NZ bowlers. Chasing 276, we do it with 4 balls to spare. Scott Styris scores an unbeaten 49 to win. Orams Black Cap career could potentially be over. Vettori ruled out half an hour before the game, taylor captains the side to a win over australia and scores a fantastic knock of 70 |

very nice win for NZ with some players missing, the Aussie card looks alright but someone needed to stand up for the bowlers; Harris, Watson and Bollinger were all too expensive.
Hussey looks like he has his spot back in the side settled with a run-a-ball 59 |

I noticed they were showing the Eng/'Deshi game via live feed to the US on Cricinfo/ESPN, but not for anywhere else. I guess they'll be showing it on Fox/Sky in NZ like they are over here? Good win - that keeps NZ just above England in the ODI rankings. Looked like Oram was bowling well, but only 7 overs and a DNB - thats similar to what happened to Stuart Broad only he has back problems. He should be sent home if they've got any sense. |

Yeah Oram buggered up his Achilles while fielding and was only going to bat at 11 and if required with a runner. (if the game was in the balance). |

i find myself feeling happy whenever the aussies lose now. their behaviour when there's even a hint of the opposition being competitive is so predictable.
why does the side have to be such a pack of cunts?

my guess is that they're a younger side than we had in the 90's and are basically used to winning

edit Well send for the air ambulance - Sidebottom out of the tour, while Broad and Onions are going back home for "scans". Looks like Shahzad and Plunkett are gonna get some game time, and somebody send for Rashid. |

So England carry out the 3-0 whitewash with a routine victory - Kieswetter scores his maiden ODI century and suprisingly looks like he's taken on the anchorman role. The deshi's fell well short with Bresnan taking a career best 4-28. Looks like he'll be a certainty for the 1st Test if Broad isnt fit.
Just noticed a "shock" result in Guyana - Zimbabwe beating the Windies by 2 runs despite half tons from Gayle, Barath and Chanderpaul. I think Gayle sums up the performance perfectly "When you do crap, it's definitely crap and there is no excuse" Styris v Johnson ODI2 - looks like Vetorri will replace Oram, while probably no change for Aus. |

interesting test developing here between australia and nz.
aussie skittled yesterday for 231, nz now 193/6 (taylor not out with the fastest ever nz century). poor nz batting once again...if nz get a lead of 50 i will be pleased, but it should have been so much more. can just see aussie coming out in their second dig and getting 400 |

looking like it could head that way now God
considering how solid NZ's middle order is, they're failing far too often. I still think McCullum should be higher in the batting order, 7 is a joke |

yeah, I reckon Pakistan to take it out again. They've won like 19 T20 games straight. I reckon NZ has a chance (as I always hope) because we have ryder and mills back in our side finally afterr injury.

pakistan lost their first game like they did last year, but if they thrash Bangladesh like they beat Holland, i can still see them winning it, although obviously, Bangladesh are a much better team
We play the West Indies today. Hope this year we can at least get to the semis, which we haven't done in any one-day tournament for a while |

hmmm 191 to Pakistan might make that a bit tougher.
massive innings from Akmal, 56 off 35. and the Paki's hit 8 sixes. yikes |
