boss nigger's great, too bad there was never a soundtrack released.

the soundtrack to The Candy Tangerine Man is fantastic.



it's kind of weird though. it's not like your standard soundtrack release. this album has no mention of the movie anywhere on the sleeve or vinyl. plus the theme isn't on the album. nonetheless, this is a great funking album.

X-Files: Songs in the Key of X (obsessed with this when i was little, still holds up. just a great collection of really spooky sounding songs, without being obvious about it. a lot of dreamlike eerie songs. also one of the best Frank Black songs ever written, and an incredibly awesome Soul Coughing song.)

Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy. got me into They Might Be Giants so basically changed my entire life. also lots of great songs from Liz Phair, Yo La Tengo, Paul Bellini (!), and lots of fun canadian indie rock.

Walk Hard: holy crap what a huge amount of original music, half of which isn't even in the movie. mind blowing and really really great song writing too.
