This place (the US) is dead again

Anyone around? I'm watching a football game nobody outside the big ten would possibly care about. You?

kupomog 10-22-2016 08:47 PM

It's been very rainy today. Thinking about going to pumpkin patch tomorrow even though Joshua works. It'd be my last chance before parents leave for Vegas.

box elder 10-22-2016 09:08 PM

my wife took cliff to the pumpkin patch last weekend while i was at work. it was ok because she sent me pics at least

We went last year and had a nice time but weren't prepared for the heat. This year Amy really wants to ride the horses there.

box elder 10-22-2016 09:36 PM

Yeah it's been like 80 here the last week. So gross. Tonight is like the perfect fall weather though

Also I see other people browsing the board. Post something will ya

I just started my twice yearly rewatch of Simpsons commentaries. Currently on "Moaning Lisa".

EDIT: Also forgot to mention I became Curveball champion last month! http://www.boardsandrec.com/arcade.p...res&gameid=253

box elder 10-22-2016 09:59 PM

Uhhhh. Anyone other than this guy?

Exordium 10-22-2016 10:05 PM

About 4 AM here, was very rainy. Then the rest of the day was just windy.

Shaunbadia 10-23-2016 03:59 PM

People attempting to discuss Simpsons on this board baffle me.

I would like to be working, but currently I am staring out my window. I.T. set me up with a new computer yesterday. That is the good news, then they forgot to test anything. So nothing works, syncs etc. This should be in the b&a thread I suppose.

not to change the topic if there is one, but pumpkin flavored items are the worst foodie craze ever.

box elder 10-25-2016 10:15 AM

yeah i'm not a fan of most of it. especially the beers, of which there are six million

jake 10-25-2016 11:23 AM

the only pumpkin beers i like are

and

http://www.thebrewsite.com/images/be...o-the-moon.jpg

basically any other i've had has been too sweet and tastes like candy and beer isn't supposed to taste like candy

DAntae 10-25-2016 12:23 PM

^ insert picture of skittlebrau.

I just don't like pumpkin in general...but there is an item here or there I enjoy.

pumpkin joe joes from trader joes are great.

pumpkin gum, pumpkin flavored milk, pumpkin creamer, pumpkin anything else..get out of my life. I was getting groceries last night and saw pumpkin flavored whip cream. its a white girl pushed issue for sure.

arii 10-25-2016 01:39 PM

pumpkins in general are pretty gross

pumpkin whipped cream?? what the fuck.

DAntae 10-25-2016 01:49 PM

arii gets it. we need to make this a movement.

can we get a gator puking up some pumpkin smilies.

kupomog 10-25-2016 01:52 PM

I just really want pumpkin crunch cake (or pie) and nothing else

My favorite crunch comes from a bowling alley and they have their recipe online <3

i love pumpkin pie, so it's not like i have anything against pumpkin in general. it's just a little too omnipresent right now, especially in beers where it's like every single brewer simply has to have a pumpkin ale

kupomog 10-25-2016 02:03 PM

Pumpkin tea really gets me because I can't see how that tastes good but I'm not huge on crazy flavored teas to begin with.

DAntae 10-25-2016 02:24 PM

I had no heard of the pumpkin tea. I am with you, not sure how that would be a taste anyone would be in favor of.

as for the beers. I have not tried a pumpkin ale, but I do enjoy the variety of apple brews and ciders. I think they lend themselves to compliment the beer better. I did try an ace pineapple ale and I got to say it was fantastic.

jake 10-25-2016 03:18 PM

is it pumpkin tea or pumpkin spice tea?

pumpkin tea could be pretty muted in a good way because actual pumpkin-flavored stuff isn't nearly as sweet as pumpkin spice.

it's why i like pumpkin pie but don't like most pumpkin flavored stuff. the actual pumpkin makes it so it's not too rich

kupomog 10-25-2016 04:16 PM

It's Pumpkin Spice tea like from that Bigelow brand

jake 10-25-2016 04:52 PM

ah.

they're usually my go-to tea brand but yeah their flavored stuff is usually too overpowering for me. i have a whole box of the peppermint in my kitchen right now that's been there for ages because of that.

Pumpkin based food is pretty uncommon here in the Netherlands, but it gets more popular to get with the Halloween theme every year. I never had anything with pumpkin in it in my life.
But my mother was visiting the other day, and we made pumpkin soup. I'm not a soup kinda guy, but holy shit! That pumpkin soup was fucking insane!
I guess it was the combination of the grainy texture of the pumpkin and the freshness of the orange and apple we threw in there.
Delicious!

My parents left for Vegas like they do every year and so I'm on staycation for about a week. I don't know what to do with myself so I fired up GTA V and just got Franklin and Chop into a car. Now I'm on a hill just listening to Radio Mirror Park.

box elder 10-27-2016 08:52 PM

I've been thinking about another gta5 run. Is xbox one backwards compatible with the 360?

Rock Strongo 10-27-2016 09:22 PM

GTA 3 will always be my favorite. I remember when that came out during my senior year of college, my roommates and I all blew off our semester finals playing it. It truly was simpler times.
